Book two picks up from the time of his revival. Enjoy his reorientation to the country he helped found as a young nation, and the discovery of this new world of his future. Find out what Washington thinks about how the country has fared. Then enjoy books three and four as Washington is drawn into politics again, in his new time . . . our time.

About the Author

Gil Hudson is a retired attorney from Virginia who was actively involved in politics, serving as a local party chairman and delegate to the 1980 Republican Party National Convention during which Ronald Reagan was nominated to run for President. He stepped back from politics to accept a substitute judgeship, but his interest in politics and history never waned. He wondered how our forefathers might view the state of our country today. This curiosity was the impetus for his writing the four-book historical fiction POTUS 1 series.

Discover how people lived in the 17th and 18th century in their own words courtesy of D. Charles Petersen. Wanting to prove his mother’s statement that a Massachusetts property had been in their family for centuries, he decided to find out for himself. His catalyst was an old trunk stored in their Massachusetts family home known as the Red House. The trunk held letters, photos, ledgers, and other items dating back centuries. Within those documents, he found the fascinating story of his ancestry and the answer to his mother’s words.
Through the letters, he came to know the stories of his ancestors and their lives dating back to 1600. Some letters described daily life long ago. Read them yourself and understand how life courses through history like a river, at times combining families through marriages like tributaries, and flowing through centuries to this modern day.
Enjoy this fascinating revelation of stories from people in the past through Letters From the Old Trunk.

Push Your Comfort Zone to Grow

Push Your Comfort Zone to Grow Doing something unfamiliar isn’t always comfortable for many people. We all like the routine of daily life we have carved out for ourselves. Living in familiar circumstances feels “safe” like being “home” and using our “own pillow.” Most of us like to stay in our warm and familiar habits. But then, nothing different will occur if that is our daily routine. It is only when we change something: our routine, our thinking, our expectations, that we grow as human beings. So, it is good to push beyond our comfort zones, whatever they may be. Why? Because otherwise, we become inflexible. When we stop growing, we grow old. Growing “old” can also mean being unable to accept new ideas, and
